The MaxSignal® TMB Microwell Substrate Solution is a ready-to-use substrate and chromogen intended for use with peroxidase in microwell applications.
TMB is a substrate and chromogen that yields a blue color when oxidized, as a result of oxygen radicals produced by the reduction of hydrogen peroxide by HRP. For kinetic or non-stopped ELISA assays, the TMB chromogen has maximal absorbances at 370 nm and 652 nm. The color then changes to yellow with the addition of sulfuric or phosphoric acid, with maximum absorbance at 450 nm.
One-component, Ready-to-use TMB Formulation Simplifies ELISA Kits.
The MaxSignal® TMB (3,3',5,5' - tetramethylbenzidine) Microwell Substrate Solution is a one-component, ready-to-use liquid formulation that requires no preparation before use. This simplifies ELISA kits for the end user while increasing accuracy by reducing potential errors. Unlike most other commercially available substrates, these products contain no DMF or DMSO.
