Galectin-3是Galectin（半乳凝素）家族的一員，能識別糖蛋白和糖脂的特異性低聚糖結(jié)構(gòu)，參與多種生理和病理過程，包括細胞生長和凋亡、細胞黏附、新生血管形成和腫瘤浸潤與轉(zhuǎn)移等。Galectin-3在腫瘤的發(fā)生、發(fā)展及轉(zhuǎn)移中起重要作用。
Galectin-3在某些腫瘤組織中高表達，其在不同類型腫瘤，如結(jié)直腸癌、胃癌、胰腺癌、甲狀腺癌及肺癌等患者中的高表達水平，與低生存、腫瘤復(fù)發(fā)、預(yù)后差及對*藥物敏感性降低相關(guān)對于某些腫瘤，Galectin-3有可能成為一個有價值的診斷標志和治療靶點。

保存條件：Store at -20 °C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20°C. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 °C.
